Offline Syncing
Zero Desk is designed to work even without internet. This guide shows how to sync your data and what each icon means — so you're always ready, online or off.

When offline, you may need to manually close sheet editors or refresh to see saved changes.
The activity timeline will only update once you're back online.
Step 1: Tap “Sync” to Begin
Start the Sync Process
- Make sure you're connected to the internet
- Tap the Sync button (circular arrows)
- A glowing circle appears to confirm the tap

Step 2: Watch Sync Progress
Check the Progress Bar
- The button shows % progress (e.g. 25%, 60%)
- It becomes disabled while syncing
- The cloud icon displays a downward arrow

Step 3: Sync Complete — You’re Offline
You're Now in Offline Mode
- The button will say “Ready” with a green dot
- The cloud icon shows a slash
- You can now use Zero Desk offline

Step 4: Returning Online
Reconnect to the Internet
- Tap the cloud off icon
- If no changes were made offline, you'll immediately resume the normal Sync state

Step 5: Uploading Changes
Push Offline Edits
- If edits were made offline, the cloud shows an up arrow
- The Sync button updates with Uploading X%
- Uploads retry automatically if interrupted

Step 6: Upload Complete — Back to Normal
Back Online and Synced
- Sync button reactivates and reads “Sync”
- The cloud icon returns to normal
- You're ready to sync again or go offline

Step 7: Handling Sync Errors
Troubleshooting a Failed Sync
- If syncing fails, the button shows “Error” and a red dot
- The cloud icon resets to the download state
- Reconnect and tap Sync again to retry
