Field Data Collection​

Weather data won't fetch​

If auto-fetch fails:

  • Check that location services are enabled on your device
  • Make sure you have GPS signal
  • You can always enter weather manually if needed

Reports​

Can't insert an image​

Check:

  • File size must be under 50MB
  • Make sure you clicked Insert after uploading

Report won't export to PDF​

Try:

  • From the report preview page, hit ctrl+p or select the print option in your browser
  • If it still fails, check with your administrator

Templates​

Variable not populating in template​

Common issues:

  • Make sure you typed the variable name exactly (case-sensitive)
  • Use {{VARIABLE_NAME}} format with double curly braces
  • Some variables only work if data exists (e.g., species variables need fish data)

Common Questions​

Q: Can I edit a fish entry after saving it? A: Yes, tap on the entry in the list to edit length, weight, or notes.

Q: What if I accidentally saved the wrong species? A: Fish metrics can be deleted from the EFS job before a report is created. If you already created a report and need to edit a metric, make the change in the job and then create a new report for that job from the reports page.
